He has always been more interested in building businesses than simply owning stakes in them. He gets involved early and tends to stay close, particularly when a company is still figuring out what it needs to become. Sometimes that has meant putting the structure around an opportunity before investing in the opportunity itself.

Much of his attention goes to sectors where there is still room to build, and to founders thinking beyond the next few years. For Osahon, a good business should be able to outgrow its founders. What matters is not only what it is worth today, but whether what is being built can last.
